About the Artist

Inspired by the Animals That Share My Life

From her Florida horse farm, artist Kayce Monroe creates expressive animal artwork that celebrates the beauty, spirit, and emotional connection we share with the animals around us.

Surrounded by horses, wildlife, and the rhythms of rural life, Kayce draws inspiration from daily encounters with the animals she paints. Whether it's the quiet wisdom in a horse's eye, the joy of a hummingbird's visit, or the personality of a beloved pet, each painting begins with a genuine connection to its subject.

Working in a style that blends abstract color with realistic detail, Kayce's artwork seeks to capture more than appearance alone. Through expressive brushwork, layered color, and an emphasis on emotion, she creates pieces that invite viewers to remember a cherished companion, celebrate the wonder of nature, or simply pause and feel something meaningful.

Her original artwork can be found in private collections and galleries throughout Florida and beyond.

Artist Statement

I believe animals have a unique way of touching our hearts. My goal is not simply to paint what they look like, but to capture something of their spirit, personality, and presence. Through color, movement, and emotion, I hope to create artwork that reminds us of the beauty, wonder, and connection we share with the animal world.

Animal Art That Touches the Heart

The Method

Every painting begins with observation and connection.

From my Florida horse farm studio, I spend my days surrounded by the animals that inspire my work. I watch the way a horse pricks its ears, the curiosity in a hummingbird's visit, or the quiet wisdom reflected in an animal's eyes. Those moments become the foundation of each painting.

I combine realistic structure with expressive color, texture, and movement, building layers that balance control with spontaneity. My goal is not simply to paint what an animal looks like, but to capture something of who they are.

Because the details matter—but the feeling matters more.
